Food is great and authentic. Service was also good. Menu could use a little more variety. However, on the other hand, stick with what you're good at, so not an issue in my opinion.

I was very suprised as this is a whole in the wall kind of place. The food was very good and the place very clean. Their service was attentive and they were more then willing to answer my questions.

Didn't like the barbacoa. Too smelly

The food is ok but takes them to long to make the food i ordered over the phone and they said it would be ready in 10 mins. I got there and had to wait 15 minutes more.

This place is amazing. Every time I'm in town, I have to come here at least once every few days to enjoy their consomme and Cabeza de Borrego. The tortillas are so delicious and everything is so nicely prepared, I'm blown away every time I'm there.

They don't respect the waiting list, so if you go there make sure to watch the list the they have because there friends come first then a regular client.... It's not what the client says it's what they say. 😶

Unique style of Mexican food, but delicious. I love the thick corn tortillas and the meat is seasoned well (I asked for the lean pieces). Flan is very thick but tasty as well.

Very good place if you're looking for authentic tasting food. Great quality taste. A little crowded but it's worth the wait

I kind of don’t want to tell you all about this place because it’s so excellent. We were looking for birria de chivo and barbacoa and this place did not disappoint. But wait....a favorite of mine that’s hard to find is well represented: huitlacoche. Oh and rompope flan, gelatina de cajeta, tons of vegetarian options....I could go on and on.

Its good, but not the best. Sorry but i would not recommend it.

Amazing place for Mexican food with a family or alone.

This small ran family restaurant is great. The food taste almost exactly like the food in Mexico restaurant. The birria is really great as well as the puerco, chick, and steak. The salsa is outstanding overall the wait is a bit long but worth it.

The staff is very friendly and provide good service. I highly recommend trying out the barbacoa tacos! I also ordered a small bowl of birria de borrego (goat stew) and it tasted great! I highly recommend that as well.

Good place if you want to go for more weird dishes. They have normal food too but it's pretty boring compared to the fili's across the parking lot. I recommend splitting a Martínez special if you're just starting to adventure into non-Americanized stuff.

Food was Ok, not my favorite restaurant but I will visit again just because of the closeness to my home

The food was good as always; however, the service was slow in spite of it being their slow time with very few customers in the restaurant.Food received a FIVE, the service a TWO; hence, the THREE stars.

It was alright. The chips & guac is fantastic, but everything else was just alright. The only reason I would really go for is to pick up some chips & guac to go.

Superb and authentic. The fresh corn tortillas take me back to Central America. The horchata is genuine. I've only ever ordered the barbacoa here.

Really rich authentic mexican food. A lot of lamb and goat too which isn't common for most Mexican places in socal. Really flavorful.

Delicioso lamb tacos

Unlike anything I've ever had before. I'm born and raised in San Diego. Mexican food is life. This place is totally different cuisine than any other place I've been too. It's all about the lamb man. Everything I've had had been fantastic and totally different. I've never been to Texcoco but this place transports you to a different region of Mexico. Plus they have a full bar! Legit Margarita and Lamb tacos?! Yaasss

Love the consome❤ best in town!

If you want authentic Barbacoa, this is the right place. The tacos and flautas are delicious, not to mention the consome, the owner always welcome us, and the girls are so attentive.

Love their food, we get take out for Sunday mornings, and their tacos are generous with meats.

Good lamb meat and good service.

Went into this place hoping to find street tacos - one of my passions. Instead found out about the art of making lamb tacos in a new and fascinating way. Short story - this is one of our favorite places when we go out, my wife and I split a full order and it's plenty enough for us. Recommend a cold beer with it, and if you haven't tried this place yet you owe it to yourself to do so!

Very clean place and good service

The Lamb was juicy with reasonable price. The soup came with the meal tastes good but too salty.

My favorite to order every time is Consome and macisa tacos with a side of guacamole! Yummy!

Not sure why their phone service can exceed 30 minutes on hold. I gave up waiting and took my business elsewhere.

Absolutely real Mexican "casero" food, flavour, fresh ingredients particular menu items especially the caldo de borrego with rice and garbanzo...will definitely go back
